Der Stempel ist eine Fälschung. Am leichtesten erkennbar an dem Abstrich des R von Roanoke und Virginia. Die linke Marke ist ein echter Aufdruck und die rechte ist eine Fälschung. Leider ohne bessere Abbildung.



Der Katalog Katalog von Cummings "HANDBOOK OF SOME CANCELS, etc., THAT LOOK LIKE PRECANCELS, BUT AREN’T! COUNTERFEITS - FAKES" schreibt dazu:

The counterfeit has more space between the state and the bottom bar. The leg of the R is straight and the Ns are distinctly wider. There are numerous other differences. Probably made by the maker of the Honolulu. Known on: 1917 : 10
