Ich habe mehr Information zu dem Label vom Versender der Sendung erhalten.



Er schrieb mir folgendes zur postalischen Situation:

Hi Mike, Thanks for the welcome news. As I recall it: I put on some postage but it was insufficient so I paid the Post Office to put on a sticker/label to adjust for the shortfall. I believe the 3 month delay was not due to the postage but to the Post Office itself. The Post Office is technically bankrupt, incompetent, inefficient etc. They don't even have money to pay the suppliers of the postage stamps nor do they have the money to pay the airlines to transport the mail.

You were lucky. Some buyers waited 5 months. The Post Office announced the other day that they had a backlog of 30 million mail items - but that they were working on it.

Das Label diente der offiziellen Auffrankatur. Derartige Label sind mir ganz neu. Ich hätte bestenfalls eine Automatenmarke oder ein Schalterlabel über den fehlenden Betrag erwartet.
