Leo Van Der Velden (Kampala, Uganda): Later this July the release is expected in Juba of a new stamp series titled "Struggle against Covid-19 Pandemic: Tribute to healthcare personnel".

It is a joint issue based on a common design depicting a medical crew surrounding planet Earth as a protective layer. The whole form suggests the coronavirus shape. Some postal administrations may have already released their stamps (see illustration for CAR). The South Sudanese Stamp Committee has edited the basic design and each of the six face values is sligthly different. There will be also a souvenirsheet of 1000 SSP. In addition to South Sudan it is reported that at least Mali, Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau, Djibouti, Sao Tome e Principe and Niger are participating.
