As an international standing order customer with NZ post, they used to pop a stamp in as a counterbalance to the extra postage the international customer had to bear. This was stopped in early 1992 as an 'economy measure'!

However these stamps were actually stuck on to a small piece of paper, cancelled on the date of posting with a note which read 'THESE STAMPS REPRESENT THE POSTAGE ON THIS LETTER'

Das ist plausibel da es Philatelic Bureau in Wanganui ist, aber nun auf braunes Papier was auch nicht ungewohnt sein kann und da die Praxis anscheinend beended wurde, wird einer mir Auskunft zur Bestätigung aus unserem Verein geben können.
