Swiss transport via rail to Romanshorn. Then there were 2 possibilities:

A) Over the Lake Constance to Friedrichshafen, then in a closed postbag by rail to Augsburg (arrival handstamp BAHNHOF AUGSBURG).

B) Over the Lake Constance to Lindau, then by rail to Augsburg.

In both cases Bavaria got 6 Kreuzer, as Friedrichshafen did not open the postbag from Zurich, so it was opended at Augsburg and Bavaria got the postage in toto.

Overfranked letters, like yours, are quite rare. YouŽll find 10 underfranked letters for one overfranked one. Lucky sod. :-)
